The Centre moves into Institut Slavonice
The Centre for the Future’s landlord, Institut Slavonice s.r.o., bought the Old School building from the City of Slavonice in 2006, and since then a huge transformation of the building has taken place. Walls have been removed, giant steel beams have been installed, and the floors have been torn up and are being replaced with new Italian tile and Czech parquet floors with hydronic heating. The building has now been renamed Institut Slavonice.

Institut Slavonice contains a large lecture theatre seating 84 (above), a small lecture room seating 36, and four teaching / seminar / meeting rooms seating 16 each (two completed to date). This group of rooms can be used together as a conference centre with breakout rooms, or the rooms can be used separately for unrelated activities. In addition there will be an art gallery, a media centre for sound and recording and video production, a computer classroom for software and language teaching, a workshop space for dance, yoga and other activities, a library, office space, and a cluster of research spaces.

The Centre for the Future  can arrange rental of these facilities to  academic and non-profit organizations at substantial discounts.
